Fire Protection Equipment Properties

Property Name Description
Base Diameter Positive <numeric value>
  • Sets base diameter of fire hydrant.
Body | Depth Positive <numeric value>
  • Sets depth of fire equipment, that is height for cabinet.
Body | Diameter Positive <numeric value>
  • Sets diameter of fire extinguisher body.
Body | Height Positive <numeric value>
  • Sets height of valve/cabinet.
Body | Length Positive <numeric value>
  • Sets fire length of valve/cabinet. Height, in case of fire hydrant/extinguisher.
Body | Width Positive <numeric value>
  • Sets width for fire cabinet, breeching inlet.
Base Stand Height Positive <numeric value>
  • Sets height to bottom stand of floor mounted fire cabinets such as firehose and yard hydrant cabinets.
Breeching Inlet Type
  • SurfaceType-2-Way
  • SurfaceType-4-Way
  • RecessedType-2-Way
  • RecessedType-4-Way
  • Sets breeching inlet construction for type of Breeching Inlet Cabinets.
Cell Library <cell library file name>
  • Library file name for device cells. For example, Vessel01.
Cell Symbol Name <cell name>;scale=<numeric value>
  • Sets the model cell displayed to the device.
  • Scale entry fits cell proportionally to extents of device.
Connection End Type fl -<numeric value>
  • Sets and sizes end with a flange connection.
m -<numeric value>
  • Sets and sizes end with a male connection.
fe -<numeric value>
  • Sets and sizes end with a female connection.
Separate End Type entries for each End Spec with a semi colon.

Example: fl-2;fe-.13 creates a flange at End1 with size 2, and a female connection at End2 with an overall reduction of component's dimensions of .13

  • Sets the location on the fire cabinet side for the connection.

  • Sets type fire fighting agent used for a stored pressure or cartridge-operated extinguisher.
  • Dry chemical, CO2 expellant gas type belong to class ABC, and Water, Foam in class BC type.

  • Sets length of male or female connection for End1. Set End Type to male or female to see change in geometry. If End Type is flange, the connection point moves.
Inlet Type
  • 1-2–Way
  • 2-4–Way
  • Sets number of inlet ports; 2 in case of 2-way and 4 in case of 4-way breeching inlet type.
Inlet | Outer Diameter Positive <numeric value>
  • Sets outer diameter of fire hydrant pipe.
  • Defines material property in case of Breeching Inlet.
Outer Frame Size Positive <numeric value>
  • Sets frame size of guard panel extending beyond body length and depth of Recessed type Breeching Inlet cabinets.
Port Diameter Positive <numeric value>
  • Sets diameter of both inlet ports in 2-Way and all 4 in 4-Way type.
Port Length Positive <numeric value>
  • Sets length of both inlet ports in 2-Way and all 4 in 4-Way type.
Tag <alpha-numeric characters>
  • Sets tag value visible in output of drawing composition in dynamic view.
  • Example; abbreviated tags to fire equipment like FHC for fire host cabinet, FH for fire hydrant, ST_2 for Surface Type Breeching Inlet etc., can be set.
Valve Operator Param Name=<type of operator>,A=<numeric value>,B=<numeric value>,C=<numeric value>,Primary=<angle value>,Tertiary=<angle value>,Secondary=<angle value>
  • Name:Sets operator type to either Handwheel, Wrench, Electrical or Gear.
  • A:-Sets the handwheel's diameter.-Sets the electrical box's larger size dimension. -Sets the vertical offset distance between the valve axis and the wrench. -Sets the vertical offset distance between the valve axis the gear box's centerline.
  • B:-Sets the offset distance between the valve and the handwheel. -Sets the offset distance between the valve and the outermost surface of the electrical box. -Sets the horizontal offset distance between the valve axis and the end of wrench.-Sets the distance between the gear box's centerline to the end of the gear actuation shaft.
  • C:-Sets the handwheel actuator shaft diameter. -Sets the electrical actuator shaft diameter.-Sets the gear operator hand control diameter.
  • D:-Sets the horizontal offset distance between the valve axis and the hand control.
  • E:-Sets the horizontal offset distance between the gear actuator shaft and the hand control axis.
  • Primary:Sets rotation of operator along the valve axis in degrees.
  • Secondary:Sets the orientation of the operator relative to operator's shaft axis.
  • Tertiary:Sets rotation of operator perpendicular to the valve axis in degrees. Positive values rotate the operator towards End2 and negative values rotate the operator towards End1.
